The Beginning

Real Estate Management is an interesting and challenging field.  After 40 years, I look back and realize that I was successful because of where I started and progressed. The following pictures are properties near The Ohio State University.  Managing the daily interactions with 650 apartments and perhaps as many as 1,800 -2,000 occupants has challenges.  We can all recall our youth at 18-25 years and how we transitioned in our careers and personally.  Those were very formative years and the foundation formed then, are still with me. Two takeaways.  The “golden rule,” when a resident has a problem, go and meet them at their location and show them the respect of caring, and giving them the attention, and empathy,  they need and desired.  Next “fix it”.   Simple, and direct.  What is a manager job?
